At Scapegoat, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the operational and personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Scapegoat ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information gathered through our proprietary front-end conversion tools and dynamic intake forms embedded across our network of partner websites.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To generate accurate, real-time dynamic fulfillment rates, we collect specific logistics and business metrics when you interact with our platform:
Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and company name.
Operational Supply Chain Data: Inbound/outbound shipment volumes, average pallet storage counts, square footage requirements, product category parameters, and specialized handling profiles (e.g., ambient vs. temperature-controlled).
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We utilize the collected information strictly to facilitate the Scapegoat routing and quoting engine. Specifically, your data is used to:
Calculate automated, dynamic pricing.
Generate customized quote summaries delivered via automated PDF and email introductions.
Match your specific business needs with a logistics provider optimized for your unique Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
3. THE "VACANCY CHAIN" DATA SHARING DISCLOSURE (IMPORTANT)
Scapegoat does not sell your data to third-party marketing or advertising companies. However, our platform operates on a proprietary cooperative routing model known as the Vacancy Chain.
By submitting an intake form on a Scapegoat-powered website, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following data-sharing practices:
Initial Evaluation: Your data is initially reviewed by the specific host website where you filled out the form (the "Host 3PL") to see if they can accommodate your account.
Automated Network Routing: If the Host 3PL determines that your volume, storage types, or product profiles do not align with their specialized infrastructure (classified as "exhaust traffic"), Scapegoat automatically routes your operational metrics to alternative independent warehouses within the Scapegoat network.
Alternative Quote Generation: Verified network partners who possess the exact infrastructure required to service your account (e.g., "Warehouse B") will receive your operational parameters to calculate and present an alternative dynamic rate quote.
4. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA/CPRA COMPLIANCE)
If you operate as a California-based consumer, sole proprietorship, or business entity, you are entitled to specific protections under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know and Access: You have the right to request a disclosure of the specific pieces of operational and personal data we have collected and shared within our network.
Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal and business contact information from our central network databases.
Notice of "Sharing" for Cross-Contextual Advertising: While Scapegoat does not sell your data for cash to data brokers, our automated routing to network warehouses constitutes "sharing" data to fulfill a service request under California law. By clicking the submission button on our dynamic intake forms, you provide explicit, point-of-collection consent for this network routing to occur.
We implement commercial-grade technical and organizational security measures to protect your sensitive logistics data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. Operational metrics are transferred via encrypted protocols and are only visible to verified logistics operators within the closed Scapegoat network who are actively quoting your business.
6. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to update this Policy as the Scapegoat Tech Stack and network capabilities evolve. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
